Our services
At Natural Gardens we provide an expert, friendly service tailored to your own needs. We can do as much or as little as you wish, depending on how active you would like to be in the development of your new garden.
You choose the level or combination of levels:
- A complete package, from design to a finished garden.
- The creation of specific features or wildlife habitats; for example flower borders, ponds, streams, meadows, woodland glades.
- Hard landscaping and construction.
- Design only; our expertise leaves you secure to enjoy the experience of creating your own garden to our plans.
- Consultancy only; our expert advice helps you to design and form your own garden.
- Restoration; we will renovate and improve a neglected and overgrown garden.
- Maintenance; to look after your new garden.
In the first instance, we offer a free consultation to establish your needs and to help you to decide the type of service you require.
Subsequently, we are happy to follow your own chosen timescale; some people prefer rapid completion, whilst others wish to spread the work out over a number of months or years, allowing the development of ideas or helping with budgets.
At all stages we will consult fully with you, and are always available to answer any queries you may have.
Whatever you require of us, all tasks at Natural Gardens are undertaken with the principle of people and wildlife in mind.
The Way We Work
- The initial consultation is free, and normally takes around two hours or so. During this time we discuss aims and objectives and you can see what we have to offer. In addition, well put you in touch with previous clients to act as referees.
- For straightforward tasks free quotations can then be provided.
- In the majority of cases where whole garden design is required, we find that it is best to first prepare a strategic layout plan, followed by the practical work itself.
- The layout plan allows us to decide on the positioning and design approach of all features. Although the feasibility and overall style of each element needs to be fully explored prior to inclusion, this plan does not usually require full details of planting or construction.
- Full quotations for all further design and practical tasks are worked out as part of the layout plan, allowing us to tailor it to your budget.
Payment
- Payment for the planning stage becomes due on completion of the layout plan.
- Once the plan and quotations have been accepted, payments for practical work become due as follows; 50% before work begins, 25% at the halfway stage, with the final 25% on completion.
- Larger projects are usually broken down into distinct phases of work. In this case the above payment schedule applies to each phase in turn.
